Interview

 What are your washing instructions?

All our fabrics are machine washable up to 60°C. We recommend an initial wash at 30°C. Use a detergent without optical brighteners or bleaching agents to preserve color vibrancy, and use fabric softeners sparingly, as they reduce the absorbency of the fabrics.

A slight shrinkage of natural fibers is normal after the first few washes. Once out of the machine, pull on each side to reshape the fabric, then iron it.

Remove laundry promptly from the machine to avoid creases. Air drying or tumble drying at a moderate temperature is preferred, and avoid prolonged exposure to the sun.

How do I care for a coated tablecloth?

Clean stains quickly with a damp sponge, never with an abrasive surface. If necessary, the tablecloth can be machine washed at 30°C, without spin-drying, and then line dried. Dry cleaning is prohibited. Ironing on the reverse side at a low temperature reactivates the protective film.

What should I do if there is a stain?

Treat it quickly, before washing, with a stain remover suitable for its type. Never iron a fabric until the stain has completely disappeared.

In France, at our weaving workshop in Orthez, in the Pyrénées-Atlantiques. From the spool of cotton or linen thread to the preparation of your order, every step is carried out there. Our thread dyeing is entrusted to a workshop located 60 km away, which holds the Living Heritage Company label.

 Which labels guarantee your expertise?

Tissage Moutet holds the Living Heritage Company (EPV) label, benefits from the Basque Linen Geographical Indication, and is a member of Ateliers d'Art de France. Our textile expertise has been passed down for over 150 years.
